Why is USF Albany letting all the sales force go to SYSCO and replacing them with rejects from the small jobbers

Sounds like this is the ultimate way for USF and KKR/CD&R to shave costs and show a profit. Get rid of high-paid, experienced TMs (5 years and over) and replace them with 20-something kids who may not know a garbanzo bean from a peach, but who will do what they're told and not complain. The company is using participation on Linc (or lack thereof) as an excuse to get rid of people. Doesn't matter if you're growing or your collections are over 90% each month. If you don't go on Linc, you are not a team player.

The only TMs who matter to Jon and Fred are the Chosen Few in the Six-Digit Club. Everyone else is expendable and replaceable.

Looks like USF Norwich is sending their retreads over to HPC.  HPC/Better Brands will have to change their name again to HPC/Better Brands/Norwich.  The only question I have is if the DSR's could not sell at their last house what give anyone reason to think they can sell in their new house?

Tommy, i have been here for a lot longer than you and i write much more than your piss ant 40 grand a week. I just have higher ethics,  principles and self respect than you. PS I can assure you that I will be here a lot longer than you will, history has a habit of repeating its self, once a whore always a whore and I am sure that you will sell your soul to another whore monger when your guarantees are up.

By the way Tommy, look up the meaning of Coward. "Someone who is afraid to fight the fight, lacks loyalty and conviction, turns tail and runs at the slightest hint of challenge". You ,my midget little friend, are both a coward and a scum bag!

As I read this the color green that rhymes with Breen brings two things to mind. Envy and money and by the latest string of shots directed at Tommy I get the feeling that both are in the air and fester ill feelings by certain individuals that fail to comprehend the theory of looking out for ones own best interest. Might I suggest you simply pull out of him and worry about keeping your own houses in order and you too will find peace and tranquility in your own lives by funneling your emotions in a more positive direction. I if anyone believe I should have the right to hold resentment over occurrences in my life this year but choose not to let the actions of others control my personal feelings and emotions. May peace find its way into your hearts for your sake and not that of anyone else.

USF is falling fast - None of this is really surprising given they're following the tried and failed “Jim Miller” purchasing driven model.  Those of us who were around all remember the statement “we purchase to create demand”.  The “new” USF purchasing driven model may have gotten a facelift with Monarch, but it’s just the “Miller” model with more makeup.  Forced conversion to Monarch products and increased pads are nothing more than an effort to gain short-term profitability for the sale of the company.  This short-term focus has been the death of more than one US company.  The current owners are more than willing to sacrifice the long-term future for their short-term gain.  In the end, I’m confident they’ll get their required return on investment.  Once they're gone the new owners will learn like Royal Ahold they bought a house of cards and an unsustainable business model.  Isn’t it amazing how history repeats itself; and all in just a few years.
