Hi, any vendors or salesman hearing any rumblings about Perkins?? Im an employee and getting worried working here. Word in the office is we are borrowing weekly from banks, slow in paying vendors and losing business left and right. Anyone know if we are for sale? rumors in the office are that the 2 brothers have had it and want out. Also any broadliners hiring in Ma?? There are a few of us that want to move.

Why dont you try Agar or US Foods?? I am a vendor that inherited selling to you guys food products a couple of years ago and have noticed my business dwindel away. Perkins is constantly asking for money and it seems to be getting worse as they lose more business. We heard they lost all the Whole Foods Mid Atlantic business and that they borrowed alot of money from banks for bad aquisitions. If interested off record i can give you some contacts at Agar. I seem to be doing very well with them and hear all the employees are happy there.

I always said that getting into the foodservice business was going to be our down fall.We were a great company that made lots of money both up front and on the back end.I think its all Crawfords fault what does he care its not his money.Paper was were the money was not pasta and tomatoes and stupid italian cookies. Now I need to worry about my job....thanks

Well it looks like we wont be getting our 401ks matched this year. We seem to have a major problem with buying bad inventory and not knowing what to do with it. Anybody out there need 4000 cases of italian water thats about to expire or potato gnocchi that we are sitting on thats also going to expire. We also have about a container of italian fruit cakes that these bozos brought in for christmas that are still sitting in the warehouse. The only glimmer of hope we have as a company is the rumor that the close relationship the Perkins brothers have had with Gordon Foodservice may lead to them buying us out. Anybody from GFS heard anything about this?? It would be a good fit for Gordon to come in here and clean up some of the high paid idiots running this place. Everyone working here at this point is just here for a pay check.

boy the more you read these the more i am starting to worry...if we were gonna get into foodservice why not broadline instead of italian. While we are on the subject of italian what about the 2 idiots thats are supposed to be helping us the main guy i cant even pronounce his name doesnt even return your calls and if you can catch him he doesnt know crap and says let me find out and i will get back to you....the other guy is even a bigger idiot, you cant understand his broken english and when he rides with you he talks down to you and your customer..he ends up on the phone talking italian on his phone during your ride with than rats you out to jack that your lazy and go home early...i have to admit i am not as happy with my company as i used to be..i just dont like the road we are heading down....

Anyone know who to contact at PFG for a salesrep job?? I am looking to try and make a move and thought I would get some feedback from anyone who knows anything about PFG. It seems like they are opening a DC right down the street from us in Taunton. Any other suggestions of distributors looking for salesreps would greatly be appreciated. I want to try and move to another company while I still have a reputation in the business. These guys are killing me!!

Can they be any worse than Perkins?? Perkins is a  foodservice wanta be. It seems like they have a wide range of foods over at PFG. Are they moving in to Taunton? It seems that they are moving into the building that we have all our left over Italian junk in. The location they seem to be moving into is the old location i like to call the Perkins Italian food cemetary.

If you Perkins saleman need to make a move contact me. We are looking for salesman that have some paper sales experience as well as foodservice. We are a nation wide broadline foodservice company that handles A-Z. Our paper product pricing is most likely more aggressive than Perkins because of our buying strengths. We understand the crossroads you are experiencing and can give you the tools you need to sell. Non-competes are not a problem.

WHAT ARE YOU GUYS BITCHING ABOUT. AT LEAST YOU GUYS HAVE THE BEST CREDIT TERMS IN THE FOODSERVICE FOR ALL THESE DEAD BEATS. WE CANT COMPETE WITH PERKINS CREDIT TERMS. THE UPSIDE TO THESE TERMS IS WHEN THE DEADBEAT DECIDES TO NOT PAY YOU AND COMES BACK TO US. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. IF ENOUGH CUSTOMERS STIFF YOU GUYS WE CAN GET THEM BACK AS GOOD LITTLE BOYS.
