 From what I have been told about your purchasing department is, they are the worst. They no nothing and their rude. They never answer their phone or emails and if you ask them a question about a product they buy, they answer, "I don't know". So they are weak and lazy. Just from what I've heard. BTW, I also understand the sysco people who came over are having your buyers bringing in quality products to get you up to the 21st century, as well as innovative new ideas. Not that crap they been buying and selling for 99 years. So I've been told. FOLKS

You are right, FEW is the keyword, by that I mean FEW employees in general. I have been in sales for quite a few companies and I have never seen a company with such high volume and high sales dollars function (try to function) with such a TINY procurement dept. It's tough on the street right now in today's economy, but I would never want a job in procurement here.

Think about why "I Know You" goes after Tommy Breen so much? Though "I Know You" denies it he sounds very much in words and content like the "angry inch" Nick Abbley the Regional Manager of Corona? If this were true it would explain a lot about this guys opinions and posts! We rolled the trash curbside and now it pollutes U.S. Foods. What have they brought over to contribute to the bottom line, really? Low margin junk that was clogging our routes and financially troubled business that starts with US and goes out of business.
Kick em to the curb as they are poison!

Tommy, why in God's name did Jon and Fred hire these losers from Sysco? They must interview really well or Jon and Fred were so hot to get one over on Walnut, that they held their noses and went ahead. I haven't seen anything really spectacular happen since these people came over. How much PROFITABLE business have these people brought over? We were much better off before we became Sysco, Jr.
Not sure why Corona is turning into a such a cesspool. It's not surprising with a building full of ex-Sysco and ex-Alliant people (who were formerly Sysco). The few SER/USF people there are fighting a losing battle. The split between Corona and La Mirada will not survive if Corona can't get it together.
C'mon Jon and Fred. Let's see some real leadership! Clean out the losers in Corona and make it into real contender.

Wouldn't a great team as "I Know You" describes who is bringing in new cutting edge high quality product lines and with all their self proclaimed expertise of fixing a company that's and I quote "99 years behind the times" be able to fend off the supposedly tired and behind the times Walnut?
